Nepal 2013
This was our ninth year of service to the children and schools in three areas of Nepal. With the financial, supply and other donations we were able to provide educational materials and infrastructure development to the schools, school supplies directly to the children as well as giving many of them a gift of jewelry and puzzles either donated or created by our supporters. One of the challenges to the schools is that they are not income generators and cannot be self-sustaining. The Nepal government provides between 4-6% of the national budget to education, not nearly enough for improving the very poor conditions of most of the schools. Most small communities provide support as they can but with the average annual income around US $540, that is a real stress on families. With your continued support we have been able to make a difference and provide some continuity in resources for these schools. Thank you for all you do and may peace be in your heart.
